Yes. You can fill the Cocoon yourself, but this is always a personal choice. What feels right differs from person to person. For some, it is a meaningful and conscious moment, while others choose to leave this to a funeral director or the crematorium. Both choices are valid, as long as you follow what feels right to you.

The Cocoon is designed so that it can be easily opened and closed. Upon delivery, you will receive an instruction booklet with clear explanations. This ensures that the urn remains accessible in the future as well, for example if you later wish to use a portion of the ashes for memorial jewelry.

If you choose to give the Cocoon a place in your home, we recommend using the plastic ash bag that is included. This helps keep the urn well protected.
