Crossover small – Dark Oak

Wood and leather are natural materials that carry life and history within them. They feel warm and inviting, forming a gentle counterbalance to loss. As a result, our urns are not distant, but comforting, and invite touch—something tangible for the love that remains.

Each urn is handmade and unique. Designer and maker Harm Rietveld personally selects the wood: only pieces with character and their own story are chosen. The result is not a mass-produced item, but an urn shaped with attention and care.

The small Crossover is easy to maintain. Regularly wiping it with a soft, dry cloth is sufficient to keep the urn looking beautiful.

The urn is intended for indoor use, in a dry place with a stable temperature. Because wood is a natural material, it can react to moisture, strong temperature fluctuations, and direct sunlight. To prevent discoloration of the wood and/or the leather, drying out, or warping, we recommend not placing the small Crossover in humid areas, on a windowsill, or near a heat source.

The small Crossover is designed so that a tealight can burn safely inside it, as long as this is done with care. Use a standard tealight in a metal cup and place the urn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

Never leave the candle burning unattended and ensure that the urn is placed away from flammable materials. When you follow these simple guidelines, the candle can burn safely and provide a warm and comforting moment of light.

For many people, an urn with a tealight represents more than just remembrance. Lighting a candle symbolizes enduring love, light in dark moments, and a sense of connection. It creates a शांत place to pause and reflect on memories of a loved one.

The small Crossover is designed so that you can open and close the urn yourself using the provided key. Upon delivery, you will receive a compact instruction booklet with clear explanations and illustrations, so you can fill it in a calm and careful way.

Whether you choose to fill the urn yourself is a personal decision. Not everyone feels comfortable with this, and sometimes it may feel better to have someone else do it. Take a moment to sense what you need in this.

Because the urn remains accessible at all times, it is also possible to access the contents at a later moment, for example if you wish to use a portion of the ashes for memorial jewelry or another personal keepsake.

Yes, it is possible to have an engraving placed on the lid that seals the urn. This could be, for example, a name and/or a date. The engraving is applied by us to the metal lid that seals the urn, placing it on the underside of the urn. This keeps the design of the urn calm and refined, while giving the text its own subtle place.

Upon delivery, you will receive a small instruction booklet with clear explanations and the images below, so that you are guided step by step when filling the urn.
