Crossover large – Light Oak

Yes, the large Crossover can be provided with a personal engraving, such as a name and/or date. The engraving is applied by us to the metal lid that seals the urn.

By placing the inscription in this location, the design of the urn remains understated and balanced, while the personal text is given its own discreet place on the underside of the urn.

Each urn—including the Crossover—is created by the hands of designer and maker Harm Rietveld. From design to finishing, everything is done by hand, at a calm pace and with respect for the material and the process. There is no mass production—only craftsmanship, attention, and quality.

Every detail, from the smooth finishing of the wood to any engraving, is given the same care. This results in an urn that is not only beautiful to look at, but also feels right in its essence and meaning.

The large Crossover is designed so that you can easily open and close the urn yourself. This allows you to fill it yourself—a personal and intimate moment. You can do this alone or together with someone dear to you, and experience it as a moment of connection and farewell. If it feels daunting, you can also have this done by a funeral director or the crematorium. Whatever you choose, follow what feels right for you.

Because of the closing lid, the contents always remain accessible. If you decide in the future that you would like to use a small portion of the ashes—for example, to have a piece of memorial jewelry made for yourself or other family members—that is possible. Many people experience this as a comforting thought: the freedom to create a new form of remembrance later, in your own time.

The large Crossover requires little maintenance. By gently wiping the urn with a soft, dry cloth from time to time, it remains beautiful and well cared for.

The urn is designed for indoor use, in a dry environment with a stable temperature. Wood and leather are natural materials and can be sensitive to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and direct sunlight. To prevent discoloration, drying out, or warping, we recommend not placing the large Crossover in humid areas, on a windowsill, or near a heat source.

Upon delivery, you will receive a small instruction booklet with clear explanations and the images below, so that you are guided step by step when filling the urn.
