Each urn is created entirely by hand and made from high-quality materials. The making process is intensive and careful: from the initial sawing and gluing to turning it into the right shape. Designer and maker Harm Rietveld is involved in every step and only completes an urn when both form and feeling are right.

After that, the urn is carefully sanded until its curves feel soft and smooth. Everything is done with respect for the wood and for the meaning the urn will carry. Because every mini urn ends up with someone who grieves, remembers, and cherishes—and that makes every detail meaningful.

Yes, you can personalize the Moon urn by having a name or date engraved. The engraving is applied by us to the metal lid that seals the urn. This keeps the design of the urn calm and refined, while giving the text its own subtle place.

The Moon urn requires little maintenance. Gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth from time to time is sufficient to keep it looking beautiful.

The urn is designed for indoor use, in a dry and stable environment. Wood remains a natural material and can be sensitive to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and bright sunlight. To prevent discoloration, drying out, or warping, we recommend not placing the Moon urn in the bathroom, on a windowsill, or near a heat source.
