The LittleWood© mini urn is delivered in a stylishly designed black box. The urn comes with a key that allows you to easily open and close it.

In addition, a black velvet pouch is included. This allows you to safely take the urn with you to a special occasion or to carry it discreetly when you feel the need.

Each urn is handcrafted from high-quality materials and finished with great care. The artisanal process—from sawing and gluing to turning—requires time, craftsmanship, and attention. Designer and maker Harm Rietveld personally guides each urn and only lets it go when the right form has been achieved.

After that, the sanding follows, layer by layer, until the soft and smooth curves can be felt. Every part of the process is carried out with respect for the material and for what the urn will come to mean. Because every mini urn ends up with someone who grieves, who misses, and who cherishes memories. That awareness makes every detail important.

Yes, that is possible. You might think of a lock of hair, a small piece of jewelry, dried flowers that were special to your loved one, or sand from a place with a meaningful memory, such as a favorite holiday destination. A small folded note with kind words or another meaningful object can also find a place inside. Even a micro SD card will fit. This gives you the possibility to safely store photos, videos, or audio recordings.

It is possible to have the wooden mini urn LittleWood© personalized. We can engrave a name and/or date for you on a metal plate. This can easily be attached to the closure on the underside after filling and closing the urn.

Maintenance is very simple. The urn only needs to be wiped with a soft, dry cloth.

Our wooden urns are intended for indoor use, in a dry and stable environment. Exposure to moisture, strong temperature fluctuations, or direct sunlight can affect the wood and shorten its lifespan, for example through discoloration, drying out, or warping. We advise against this and it should be avoided. Therefore, do not place the urn in the bathroom, on a windowsill, or directly above a heat source.

Yes. The mini urns are easy to open and close yourself using the provided key. If you wish to have a piece of memorial jewelry made in the future, you can always access the ashes.
If you find filling the urn yourself too difficult and/or do not feel comfortable with it, you can entrust this to family, the funeral director, or the crematorium.
